The iconic wrap dress with chevron print

Hello everyone!

How’s your week going? I had one of the best days with my besties on the Friendship’s day (in case you missed it, here’s the link). As Radhika mentioned in her last post, we are making a few changes in blog and will be posting thrice a week (yay!!). We will talk about beauty, lifestyle, celebrity style, fashion shows and lot more. Hope you guys will also join in 🙂

Now coming onto some serious fashion (ahem ahem), the iconic wrap dress. I have been on the lookout for a good wrap dress for a very long time. Wrap dresses are timeless piece that every wardrobe (and girl ;)) needs. Diane von Furstenberg introduced this fashion essential first in 1972. Even after four decades, it’s as fashionable and trendy as it was then and for good reason. They make you look bustier, slimmer at waist and also reduces hip. Styling a wrap dress up and down is easy. Wear it with heels and structured bag for a formal look (as I have) or wear it with a cross body bag and flat sandals for a casual day-time look. They are highly versatile. Go for bold prints for statement outfit or wear a solid color wrap dress to work.

I got this wrap dress from Avirate (though wanted the DVF one, but till the time I inherit money from for that one this will have to do :P) My wrap dress has a chevron print which is flavor of this season. It’s a retro inspired print which is sure to make a statement. What I did not expect from the dress was how comfortable it is. It’s really light and airy; perfect for Delhi summers. Since the dress has a very polished look, I kept the style simple and chic. I did not want to overwhelm the look, hence opted for a neckpiece that is subtle yet enhance my neckline and a sleek diamond bracelet. My structured bag and heels completed the look.

That was my take on the wrap dress that is a must have for girls of any age and celebrities alike. You can also opt for these different versions.
