Fall essential this year: Suede!

Fall essential this year: Suede!

Nowadays, 70s is the new latest. Most retro themes and styles have made a roaring comeback into our closet and the latest one is SUEDE! Suede  is a type of leather with a napped finish, commonly used for jackets, shoes, shirts, purses, furniture and other items. The term comes from the French “gants de Suède”, which literally means “gloves from Sweden”.  Because it does not include the tough exterior skin layer, suede has a texture that’s much more smooth than standard leather. It’s a really unique fabric that is hitting the stores nowadays. With Autumn season on, this is the perfect time to invest in a suede piece as it keeps you warm yet comfortable!

Enough about the fabric, let’s check out some classy pieces of suede to give you major #fashiongoals and outfit inspiration!

I. A handsome jacket!

Winters just round the corner, and a good, stylish jacket is a wardrobe must have. This winter though, ditch the traditional leather and go for a suede jacket. It’s equally classy, it’s the raging trend, AND it’s less expensive! Buy this tan brown biker jacket from Jabong HERE and pair it with skinny denims to complete the look.

II. A gorgeous skirt!

Who said suede clothes are only in shades of brown? Enjoy this dazzling blue skirt and step out at your vogueish best. Pair it with moccasins!

III.  An elegant dress!

This pink dress from Dorothy Perkins is perfect when you have to splurge  and look extremely classy. The trench dress will make heads turn. Flap pockets in the front add extra charm. Buy this dress HERE.

IV. Comfy leggings!

Versatile leggings are a must have. Pair it with any top you have and step out autumn ready! Buy it HERE!

Being cheaper than leather, yet much more wearable is one of it’s biggest attractions! However, it’s uniqueness also means that you need to take special care of it. Here are tips on how to clean  your clothes and other apparel made of suede:

PROTIP: There’s a difference between suede- the leather, and suede- the fabric. Apparel made of this fabric may be laundered or dry cleaned, simply by following instructions on the garment’s label.

Suede leather is used to make statement fashion such as gloves, jackets, and handbags. Also used for shoes, with brands like Hush Puppies using it to make their bestsellers.

It gets dirty really quickly, stains easily; even water stains it, so the shoes and jackets are not appropriate for exceedingly wet climates.

  1. If your product gets wet due to a downpour, use a dry towel to blot of the excess water. This is essential as water tends to ruin it and make it dull.
  2. Use a small pencil eraser to remove dry stains off the leather.
  3.  Avoid wearing it in conditions that may damage it, such as rainy or snowy weather. Hot, humid weather is also not optimal for this fabric.
  4. Don’t get any stains on them and take care of the beautiful outfits 😛

Do get your hands on any of these pieces!

How to rock the tomboy look!

How to rock the tomboy look!

I have been a tomboy throughout my school life and even now there is a bit of it left in me. It is exhiliratingto not worry about which pair of shoes to select, which hairstyle would look good, etc etc. We hear so many people talking about finding a laid back outfit, well tomboy look is the inspiration. When she dresses up, she ain’t giving a damn to the world. She is never gonna spend more than 15 minutes in getting ready. Makeup doesn’t really exist and stage of selection will never be reached because they would literally grab anything and walk out of the door. It might sound weird but trust me, their cupboards aren’t full of difficult options.

This is my guide for all the girls searching for that ‘laid back’ style. Always remember before stepping in this zone – You gotta keep those heels away ;D

1. Plaid shirts

Plaid shirts are literally found in every store and are the easiest thing to style. Just select any plaid shirt and pair it with a dark wash jeans. Accessories would just consist of a watch to the utmost. For footwear any pair of comfy shoes would work. For layering, pair a button down shirt with a t-shirt of your choice and you are good to go. Girls don’t think too much while searching for a laid back look because that is the reason it is called effortless.

 2. A good pair or ripped denims

Right now the market is flooded with so many different styles of jeans. Boyfriend jeans, ripped jeans, skinny jeans and many more. So many different styles, prints, patterns and washes are available that you can never fall short of an option. Buying too many jeans isn’t the motive, motive is to find just one or two pairs jeans that would fit you well, are comfy and could be styles with anything. Ripped boyfriend jeans and a dark wash skinny jeans would always be my top two suggestions.

Also read: Bohemian look with ripped denims

3. T-shirt

This versatile piece of clothing can be styled with jeans, skirts, shorts, capris, etc. Buying a few pair of t-shirts (never gonna be fitted..always go for the baggy ones) will get you sorted for quite of a number of outfits. A dark coloured t-shirt tucked inside ripped boyfriend jeans can be your go to outfit and you are surely gonna look ‘effortlessly chic’ ;D

4. Shorts and skirts

You are not gonna need too many of these. You can pair a skater skirt or shorts with a nice t-shirt and sneakers. If the t-shirt is baggy it looks even better when tucked inside. Always remember there is no way that a pair of heels is gonna exist in this wardrobe, not even wedges or block heels. No matter what you wear on top, footwear will always be a pair of sneakers or trainers.

How to style sneakers with every outfit

5. Little black dress

This might sound a little girly but every girl deserves that one little black dress that she can give her own little touch and describe her style. Tomboyish girl will not really wear any accessory what so ever, rather with a black dress all she is gonna wear will either be a pair of sneakers of boots or a bomber jacket if its cold outside 😉

6. Hoodies/Caps/Beans

In slightly cooler weather, you can always spot a tomboy  in a hoody. They just look so cool and need absolutely no second thought about styling. You can wear caps anytime of the year and make your outfit look funky as well as dressy. Beanies are a cleaver way of adding style and keeping yourself warm in the winters.

Girls while going for such a look, don’t be scared to experiment because all that matters is your own personal style. Wanna opt for bright neons, go ahead because at the end of the day you gotta find your own style. Wear what makes you feel comfortable because if you aren’t feeling comfy, confidence is not gonna hold your hand for long. Keep things simple and let your personality shine through.

Celebrities dazzling on runway at Lakme Fashion Week 2016

Hola everyone!! Lakme Fashion Week 2016, the biggest fashion extravaganza of the country seemed all glamed up and decked up with stars ravishing on the runway. Since wedding season is coming with full swing this show was surely an important one for all the would be brides/grooms. But it could not have been what it was if our Bollywood stars hadn’t graced the runway. Since it was inclined towards the festive theme, it was full of sparkles, colours, enthusiasm and grace. Designers from all over the country were present to showcase their winter/festive collection and our Bollywood stars made their collections extra bit special.

Since the event lasted for a week, tonnes of celebs walked the ramp. All of us would like to find the juicier bits of the show and here is a sneak peek of all the celebs who became the highlights of the event.

First day was opened by Tarun Tahiliani’s ready to wear collection. KANGANA RANAUT was the show stopper for his collection. With her edgy and bold look, Kangana looked smashing at the ramp.Red and black does seem to compliment her bold personality and killer looks ;p

ARJUN KAPOOR had also walked the ramp for Sahil Aneja. His aviators and leather jacket tamed up with short kurta and his complimentary stubble made him look badass as ever. His outfit perfectly went hand in hand with his personal casual style.

Next up SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT AND SHRADDHA KAPOOR were spotted walking for Manish Malhotra’s always starry runway. Black and white surely suited Sushant well and the floral theme on Shraddha’s outfit complimented her colourful personality and ever so lovely smile as well. They literally looked breathtaking..;p

JACQUELINE shimmered on the runway as she walked for Rajesh Pratap Singh. Her gold outfit and minimal makeup was enough to blow everyone away. It was amazing to see the audacity she had to carry that kind of outfit with grace and confidence.

KRITI SANON looked casual and chic as she turned show stopper for Ritu Kumar. The sports inspired collection did not seem overpowering and gave a girly vibe as well. The colour, print and design all over complimented her really well. Kriti looked sizzling on the ramp.

Beautiful POOJA HEGDE had her first time walking on the runway at LFW as she presented a collection from Jade. Her outfit and jewellery reminds us a little of her debut movie mohenjodaro. The urban tribal blend looks new and refreshing to the eyes.

No fashion event is complete until MALAIKA ARORA KHAN walks the runway. In her black bodycon dress she looked sizzling as she walked for Shantanu & Nikhil. Drama, sensational colours and mind-blowing embellishments were the main attractions of the collection.

Doesn’t he remind you of Jackie Shroff?! Those intense eyes and bold in your face expression in combination with his charm was just a+++. He became the show stopper for Ashish N Soni’s collection and added his charm to the entire collection as well..sounds cheezy right?! 😀

RANBIR KAPOOR, the chocolate boy’s charm might not have been working on the big screen but he did clearly slam the event. He walked for Kunal Rawal and the traditional look with a slight modern hint was looking great on him.

KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN not only was the showstopper for Sabyasachi but also seemed to be showstopper for the entire LFW 2016. Her pregnancy glow and that baby bump was just too cute. Her outfit definitely had a nawab feel to it and her emotional moments on the runway were heart melting. It was surely a big event for mother to be Kareena.

As always the runway was honoured to have had amazing celebs walk through. Many more celebs like LARA BHUPATI, SHILPA SHETTY, PRACHI DESAI, DIA MIRZA, EMRAAN HASHMI had also walked the ramp. It was an amazing event and a sure shot inspiration for the upcoming wedding and festive season.

Ileana D’cruz style inspiration for petite girls

Ileana D’cruz style inspiration for petite girls

Dresses, gowns, palazzos, suits, sarees, jeans, lehengas, it and this goan beauty has slayed it all. Ileana D’cruz has been the face of fashion for quite some time now. The way her style has evolved over the years, she has been a true inspiration. This petite actress with delicate features is a true fashionista at heart. I myself being a petite girl, have always searched for inspirations in the fashion industry. Ileana has been my favourite style diva in Bollywood and following her has been worth it.

From ramp walks to movie promotions, she has always carried herself with elegance and style. For all the petite girls out there, I would highly recommend considering her style for inspiration. Here are a few of my favourite looks of Ileana after her arrival in the Bollywood industry.

Gowns automatically elevate your figure and bring out the elegance and charm. Ileana has always showcased them the right way. Her colour selection, slits, patterns, etc have been just perfect. Petite girls always have an advantage of having a really slim waist, therefore gowns are an amazing choice for prestigious events. Ileana has worn her gowns in all sorts of events, whether they are fashion shows or promotions or red carpet events and has slayed it always.

Indian wear

It is always said that Indian attires are an amazing combination of sexiness and elegance. Ileana has always kept her face very neutral and subtle while her outfits do all the talking. Her style mantra is surely- Less is More. Accentuating her slim waist and delicate features, she has given a different definition to Indian outfits.

Ileana has westernised sarees in a very subtle manner and given them an indo-western appearance. She has displayed how short and petite girls can also look ravishing in sarees with her simple style. Ileana mostly goes with embroideries instead of prints.

Recently during the promotions of her movie Rustom, the Goan beauty displayed some really elegant dresses. On one side where Ileana’s outfits were graceful and elegant, she also pulled off a fun and simple dark blue dress with a pair of sneakers where her smile was the real accessory. Sometimes, for petite girls accessories can be overpowering. Ileana has shown how wearing just a statement piece of clothing is enough for any event.

Ileana always uses her petite figure as an accessory. Fusion has been her forte. Mixing and matching different kinds of bottoms with crop tops to accentuate the slim waist is a no fail plan. To avoid the look of really thin legs, opting for either palazzos or high ankle trousers is an amazing trick. Using solid colours is a great way of looking graceful and chic.

If you’ve got it then show it. The goan beauty shows her skin just the right way. Right choice of swimsuit is very important. The colour selection should also to be bang on. Opting for solid colors and avoiding too intricate patterns is the way to go. If you have a small bust opt for frills, because it will help shifting the attention.

Ileana is a style diva I follow and would recommend all the petite girls to take inspiration from her. Understanding your weak points and gaining knowledge about the positive aspects is important. I hope this post helps all the girls out there. Girls sometimes keeping your outfits simple and letting your personality speak is all it takes 🙂

Highlights of the Lakme Fashion Week 2016!

Highlights of the Lakme Fashion Week 2016!

Lakme fashion week is a bi-annual fashion event that is one of the most prestigious platforms for designers all across the country to showcase their designs. The Lakme Fashion Week 2016 Winter/festive edition just got concluded at 29th August. The 5 day affair saw some splendid outfits and here’s a compilation of my favourite ones:

1. Payal Khandwala

Her collection was titled “The New Emperor”, conceptualized to present fierce fashion, for the daring New Age Indian bride. Here was a fashion collection dedicated to the bride who is not content playing princess but would rather be king. All the outfits in this range have very opulent vibes. Using rich fabrics such as rich raw silk in regal colours in golden and purple with some unconventional elements like collared blouses, straight and pleated pants, brazen blazers, the looks were almost vintage in their appeal.

2. Ashish N Soni

This man’s collection was inspired by the roaring fashion of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Titled “Voltomatic”, the collection had Marilyn Monroe vibes to it. Monochrome was seen in all outfits. An interesting feature was that despite the clear, well defined cuts and layers in the outfits, the hairstyles were voluminous and bold. An ode to retro fashion with androgynous pantsuits, oversized jackets as well as feminine jumpsuits and jacquard dresses was the standout point of Ashish N Soni’s collection.

3. Ritu Kumar

Her collection was titled ‘the Label’ and was an interesting combination of sporty and feminine. Ritu Kumar is one designer who effortlessly translates street style to the runway. Jump suits, maxi dresses, skirts and shorts were all given a very sporty twist, with checkered prints, pastel colours and funky accessorizing. Kriti Sanon was the showstopper and the maxi she donned was so beautiful!

3. Anuradha Pegu

“Made-in-Assam” was a highlight of the LFW 2016, where designers from the North East showcased the traditional excellence in fashion. One of them was Anuradha, whose collection titled Naturally Anuradha left the audience in gasps of wonder. Consisting of resplendent sarees, with bold borders and vibrant colours, they were magnificent. Blending and merging various fabrics, Anuradha used Endi, Muga and Nuni silks together with spun and pure cotton, which are treated with 100 per cent organic dyes such as turmeric, lac, iron, harda and manjistha.

4. Shilpa Chavan

This year’s LFW 2016 had it’s first ever PLUS SIZE FASHION SHOW, curated by Shilpa Chavan. It was really refreshing to see plus sized models on the ramp, who were chosen by auditions. The collection was uber casual and trendy, consisting of everyday looks. The models oozed confidence and glam, and prove that hotness isn’t determined by inches ! 😉

5. Sumona Parekh

Her collection had some unique festive wear. In unconventional prints and silhouettes, this gave us major inspiration for the upcoming shaadi/diwali/navratra season. Straight pants with a long jacket is a very modern Indian wear, whereas loose crop tops with golden embellishments can be paired with matching lowers too. White, red and golden are such gorgeous colours; tribal or bold borders and embellishments were the highlight of this collection.

6. Shantanu and Nikhil

Their collection had a very prominent the Great Gatsby feel to it and we aren’t complaining. Looks straight out of a Mardi Gras, the ruffles and emerald colours made for a sight. Long gowns with flowy, flattering silhouettes were centre piece attractions of the collection. An interesting bit was the cool head gears added to each outfit. An Egyptian princess vibe is also emitted due to these grand structures and head gears, perfect for the next ball you attend!

7. Ajay Kumar

Has to be the quirkiest collection out of them all, undeniably. Grey was the common background of all the outfits. Thought grey outfits are boring? Think again! Ajay Kumar added a splash of funky colours and graffiti to the grey to make them show stealers. These are perfect for a fancy day in college or just a brunch with your girlfriends!

8. Manish Malhotra

This man’s legend and needs no introduction. This time around his collection was dominated by florals. Be it printed in beautiful colours or embroidered with gold embellishments, cute flowers adorned the stunning silhouettes of the outfits. An expert in bridal fashion, Manish Malhotra’s collection always showcases new trends in it. Semi draped lehenga, long overflowing kimonos are the latest trends he incorporated in his collection.

9. Sabyasachi

Had to save the best for the last, definitely. While his expertise in sarees and lehengas is unparalleled, this year also he took on beautiful pastel and neutral colours to create stunning bridal wears! The highlight of all of LFW W/F 2016 and Sabyasachi’s show was Mrs. Kareena Kapoor’s entry.

She entered in a regal silver, full of delicate embellishments lehenga, flaunting her baby bump in all it’s happiness. Silver and black are unconventional colours, but this is the age of modern brides who love to experiment. Sabyasachi’s lehenga donned by Kareena Kapoor Khan is something that’ll make it’s way into the wedding circuit really soon. It’s feminine yet edgy.
Ps – extra points to this outfit due to the model, madam Khan! ❤

Style tips to look stylish without spending a bomb!!

Style tips to look stylish without spending a bomb!!

Hola guys!! Believe it or not, the way you dress up plays a key role in shaping your confidence. When we step out of the house in a well dressed manner, we automatically walk with confidence and poise. But fashion has a price tag too! A lot of times while window shopping or just hanging out with friends in a mall, certain price tags can intimate us :P. But we still want to look charming without spending such a hefty price. Today I have certain style tips and tricks  for you that can make you look expensive without spending a lot. An instant boost of confidence is added bonus!

The basic trick behind any outfit is finding the right size and right combination. Adding too much jewellery of wearing really really tight fitted clothes will take you no where. These are my personal tips but you can obviously just take inspiration and find your own style according to your body shape and lifestyle.

Here we go…

1. Solid colors

Pairing the some color from top to bottom make a style statement in itself. Solid pieces can be styles in so many different ways. You can easily find such pieces in various stores for really less price. Dress them up or dress down depending on the combinations you select. Solid colours, especially neutrals and blacks can make you look really elegant and refined. Pairing solid colours helps achieve a classic and elevated style. Colour blocking is a technique used by many celebrities and is an amazing way to use solid colours without looking plain and dull. And if the fabric you find for less is cheap then adding a print to it makes it even worse, so if the fabric isn’t that great then I would recommend going with solid colours and skipping the prints altogether.

2. Stick to classic fits

Well fitted clothes are part of formal attire for good reason. The clothes that fit well makes you look smart and polished. If your clothes are too tight or too lose, too long or too short, show too much cleavage or make you look like a mummy…nothing is gonna make you look good no matter how expensive your clothes are. We look up to runway models for inspirations but the outfits they wear are only great for certain special event, they are a big no no for daily wear. Try and find what suits your body shape. Decide which parts you wish to hide and which ones to you wanna accentuate. For example, to highlight a thin waist but still hide the skinny look using peplum tops is an amazing idea.

3. Stock up your Basics

Things like plain black/white t-shirts or prints like stripes are really hard to mess up and pretty easy to style. Basic t-shirts look great with printed pants. Stripes can look great with a plain pair of jeans and a denim jacket. These can also be used to mix and match various other pieces to avoid spending extra bucks. Black is a classic colour and can be used with almost every colour and can be incorporated in a billion different ways.

4. Do not spend on new fashion trends immediately

Its always wise to invest in good staple pieces such as a pair of jeans, a classic white shirt or a little black dress but not so much on every fashion trend that hit the runway. Reading this on a fashion blog can be really weird but what I mean is, when a trend arrives try to wait for a few weeks because by that time some stores will have an exact copy of the expensive pieces and you can buy them for way too less. Moreover, not every trend can be pulled off  by everyone. Understand your style and experiment but do not invest on things you aren’t sure about. Buying stuff just because celebs are wearing it is not a very wise idea. If you are unsure, you can also rent them first 😛

5. Statement jewellery

This one is my favorite to elevate a look. Statement pieces are like an instant solution to a boring outfit. Stores like FOREVER 21 always have some amazing statement jewellery which is of good quality. Pairing statement pieces with solid colours can instantly add an extra something and make it all look put together. In Delhi, Sarojini Nagar is an amazing place to look for statement jewellery for a lesser price point. It uplifts your look and is a great idea to dress up a plain dress for a special event.

6. Handbagsb

Solid structured handbags automatically give an edgier look and gives grace as well. A bag with straight edges and solid colours always look great. They look expensive and goes well with formals as well as casuals. Neutral colours are great for everyday outfits. FOREVER 21 is an amazing stores for everybody looking for different styles under the same roof at a lower price point. Structured bags give a very high-end appearance and are easier to carry and fit in stuff.

This post simply focuses on buying things that can be reused and can be used to mix and match. Buying loads of clothes is not the solution to looking expensive. Buying wisely is the answer. The above list tells you about things that can not be easily messed up and help you look beautiful always. Hope this guide helps you out. Always experiment and find your own style.

How to wear moccasins!

How to wear moccasins!

Hello everyone. The weather’s rainy and so is the fashion/beauty scenario : it’s raining trends! While a lot of retro things are making a come back such as the choker, some new age fads have also found their ground, such as clown contouring makeup style. This article discusses another trend that has invaded all markets and should be barging into your closet too! Moccasins 🙂 Moccasins are the latest shoes that we have a crush on. They are the perfect antidote for when the weather is warm for boots, yet too cold for flats. They come in a variety of styles – some with fringe, some with laces – the list goes on.

Loafers vs Moccasins

It is important to know the difference between loafers and moccasins and hence keep your fashion dictionary up to date. 😛 Moccasins are strictly made of leather (the leather may be faux, deer skin, etc) whereas loafers can be made of polyester or any such material. They necessarily have some laces on top whereas loafers are more casual, without laces. Here’s a picture to understand the difference :

Now that the difference between the two is clear, let’s see where you can buy them!

Outfit ideas

Here are some outfit ideas:

i. With jeans: They go well only with slim fit jeans. These shoes are open, and aren’t too tight on your foot hence don’t wear them with baggy pants.

ii. With shorts/skirts/dresses: Any lower with a raised hemline looks super stylish with these shoes.

Moccasins with shorts skirt

Lastly, here are some tips to take care:

i.Always keep your look casual, these are casual shoes and look best with shorts, skirts and jeans.

ii. Do wipe your shoes with a wet cloth to keep them clean. Since they are made of leather related materials, they need to be wiped clean every now and then.

iii. Avoid them in the rainy season as water ruins leather.

Do buy moccasins and share pictures of you rocking them!

3 DIY Earrings that you must try now!

3 DIY Earrings that you must try now!

Earrings are an essential part of our fashion statement. Each person has their own type of earrings which they prefer, some wear long dangling earrings, while others are more inclined towards tiny earrings. But have you ever wished that such a pattern should be there (it goes just perfectly with your outfit) or wished something you really liked wasn’t so expensive? Well there’s always an alternative, and in this post, we present it to you. DIY earrings or Do It Yourself earrings.

The earrings chosen for this post are made from simply paper, and if you’re wondering if this is some special kind of paper, it’s not. Any paper that you have lying around will do, even newspaper. Of course if you want to draw, you’ll require blank paper, and if you want to use a specific patterned paper for your earrings you’ll need such a paper.

Other than paper, you’ll require glue, water and the hoops from which your earrings will hang. This is easily available in many gift and jewellery stores. One thing you have to keep in mind however is that these earrings are basically made out of paper. Their strength and durability is that of paper. Contact with water, or repeated usage will eventually lead to the earrings losing their beauty. But by then you’ll probably be wanting to make something new anyway!

Without much further ado, here are some of my favourite DIY paper earrings. Note that these are not exactly tutorials. The images given are representational, and you can make any similar earring with different patterns or images on it.

  • Paper
  • Metal hoops
  • Fevicol and water mixture. The majority of the mixture has to be glue. Add just a little water.

I. Paper Quilled Jhumka

Paper Quilled Earrings

Cut thin equal strips of paper and glue them to each other to make one very very long thin strip of paper.

  • Start rolling the strip from one side, until you get a big round disc.

If the strip has to be made longer, go ahead.

  • After finishing this, push the coil outwards from the center, so it comes into the shape of the jhumka.

Be careful that you don’t push too much and push it out fully.

  • When you get the desired shape, apply your glue mixture to the outside and the inside of your jhumka.
  • Make one more much smaller coil in the same process, but make sure that the hollow at the center is big enough for the hoop to pass through.
  • Glue this circle on top of your jhumka as shown in the image.
  • Paint or colour your earring as desired (I’d recommend acrylic paint).

Also, if you want, you can also use different coloured strips of paper from the beginning, so that your quilled earring is already coloured.

  • Let it dry, attach it to the hoop and voilà! Your DIY earring is now ready.

II. Paper Drawn Danglers

Paper Drawn Earrings

If you thought the last one was tough, I promise, this is easier. I have made this successfully before, and the whole process takes around 15 minutes. Maximum. This earring can be made using blank paper as shown in the image, or you can even use a patterned paper. If you use anything other than blank paper, the steps for drawing can be skipped.

  • For this, you’ll need to cut paper out in a diamond shape as shown above.

The longer and more “pointy your diamond is, the longer your earring will be.

  • After you’ve cut out your shape, draw the pattern as given in the photo (or according to your imagination).
  • When you’re done, take the two shorter ends of the diamond shape and glue the two ends together, to make a conical shape.
  • Let it set, and then apply your glue mixture over the whole earring.

This will give it a mild gloss.

  • After it dries, pierce the tip of your earring, and insert the hoop through it.

That’s it, you’re done, have fun wearing it.

III. Paper Origami Earrings

For these earrings too, you can either use patterned paper, as shown in the image, or you can draw it yourself. An origami earring can be of anything. If you know how to make a bird, a flower or a heart, it can all become earrings. Here I’m going to explain how to make a star origami earring.

  • Cut out a thin strip of paper, coloured, patterned or blank.
  • The paper has to be folded first in the style of a single basic knot.
  • Flatten out the paper after folding.
  • Then, fold the strip around the pentagon that you’ve made.
  • Tuck in the paper after folding it once around.

If that made no sense, look at the image below.
  • Cut off the extra length of the strip.
  • Push the flat parts in to make the corners of your pentagon “pointy”.
  • Make sure you unflatten it out to make the star 3-D.
  • Put a coat of your glue mixture over it, to make it glossy, or sprinkle glitter over it if you want.
  • Pierce one of the points of your star, insert the hoop and wear it proudly!

Making paper earrings is easy. It may take some time in the beginning, but keep trying, and you’ll always have something new to wear. Here’s hoping you have fun making and wearing these!
